The Hurricanes are a Loud Garage/Mod band playing 60s Soul, R&B and Boss British Beat like it was 1966 all over again, with the attitude of The Who & The Clash.
I’m certainly not alone with my choice of my latest favourite track ‘’Keep on pushing till the end’’ – it is of course by The Hurricanes who in my book are one of the finest Garage bands on the current circuit.
Fast-paced guitar riffs from Dammo and Neil’s driving drum beat from the off, and behind the catchy melodies , Tony’s Bass motors this power track along –
The lyrics nevertheless carry emotional weight talking about the desperate times and Robert’s vocal reiterates the song title and wants you to keep going, pushing till the end in fact- I’m feeling it, never an understatement in my book and I’m feeling this track will have a positive vibe for many – take the title how you want to see it – though many tracks deal with the struggles of hard-working ordinary people and this track doesn’t disappoint, this is my interpretation.
Like all The Hurricanes releases they will always be 1st Class for me as I am a huge fan and will continue to be so if material like this is produced. If you like the Garage and an independent sound then The Hurricanes are for you and a must buy for your vinyl collection..
